You might have noticed a more sporadic posting of articles in On Landscape this week, and that’s because my better (and more reliable) half, Charlotte, has been down near the English border with her St Ayles Skiff team for the Skiffie Worlds competition.
Charlotte and the rest of the Appin team have been training for the last six months to get ready, and with about 80 teams from all over the world, including the United States, Canada, South Africa, the Netherlands and even Australia, the competition is pretty fierce for a small community club.
I hope you forgive the fact that the photograph in this issue is included because I’m very proud of Charlotte’s achievements!
