Devil's Chair is part of a sequence of tors along the ridge of eroded quartzite that forms the Stiperstones, Shropshire. The Stiperstones is a National Nature Reserve and part of the Shropshire Hills area of outstanding natural beauty. The moorland is home to Common Heather (Calluna vulgaris) and Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus).
