Boundry Layer

Lake District. The view across the lake (Derwent Water), whilst spectacular in every right, was not really 'doing it' for me photographyically - compositionally or otherwise. So after taking a few moments to admire the undeniably stunning surroundings, I turned my attention to the still waters of the bay I was in. The light was moving swiftly as it rose over the distant hills and into the woods on the far side of the bay, increasing in intensity and creating the most intense reflections in the still water as it did so. I wanted to include some of the fascinating details from the shoreline somehow, the smooth ice sheet curving around the bay seemed to provide the right lead-in. Once again I was on my front lining up with the 24mm ts-e to make it work, this time with Adam looking on from just over my shoulder - no ice sheets to lie on this time just perfectly safe jaggedy rocks. The colours are quite intense thanks to a polariser used to enhance the reflections (adjustment of the WB has brought a fair bit of colour to it too!)...
