In strongly coloured light we don’t completely adapt as the camera has done here, so we still recognise the warmth and colour around us. The image on the right has been white balanced for daylight and retains the feel of an early morning sunrise. The daylight balance feels right to me, and reveals how much warmer than daylight the light actually was. more
