01 Manapouri Wake

Manapouri Wake f/8, 0.6 sec, ISO 160, Canon R5, Canon RF 24-105 @ 24mm + ND 10. A hand-held photograph of the wake from the back of the Lake Manapouri boat on our way to catch the bus to Doubtful Sound. It’s only when the boat gets up to speed and starts to foil that this shape in the wake occurs. The slow shutter speed and high contrast have made the human form of the wake look more pronounced. I always make sure I photograph both the journey as well as the destination. more →
