Beech Forest Hollyford valleyf/11, 1/20 sec, ISO 800, Canon R5, Canon RF 24-105 @ 90mm This was made from the road into Milford Sound in the upper Hollyford Valley. It was the mosses and lichens on the Beech tree trunks and branches that made this image more interesting for me. It’s all about the tones and textures of the leaves against the blackness of the tree trunks. It also shows that we are getting into a high rainfall area. I like making photographs that have a sense of place about them. more →
