I was struck here by how the architecture and the light seemed so well suited to each other. Like the starlings that play off one another in the air above this location, the shapes thrown by the light (shadows and highlights) are echoed in the graceful curves of the masonry. I find a lot to be positive about humanity in urban and natural landscapes that combine and co-exist well and this a good example of this happy relationship. It’s all an example of how the discussion I want to have about landscape photography isn’t about technique or location, but about feelings and ideas. more
