08 Crooked Arm Rain

08 Crooked Arm Rain
Crooked Arm Rainf/4.5, 1/160 sec, ISO 800, Canon 5D Mk IV, Canon 100-400 @ 100mmWhen the storms do come in from the west, the rain is intense and falls in blankets. To capture this in a photograph requires getting very wet as well as a bit of luck. The luck in this shot comes in the form of a break in the clouds that created back lighting that separated the rain out from the background, which otherwise would have remained grey and flat looking. Another problem is the constant need to keep the lens dry. more
