Edelweiss Darran Mountains f/22, 0.5 sec, ISO 100, Canon 5D Mk IV, Canon 16-35 @ 35mm Often when I’m surrounded by something large and spectacular like lakes, glaciers and mountains and especially after having flown in on a helicopter, I need to just slow down and think about it for a while before I attempt making that epic shot. So, I will just photograph something small and detailed instead. Something that is still relevant to the scene but something that will allow me to get my brain and emotions in order. Hence, this photograph was taken on a tripod of some native Edelweiss near the side of Te Puoho Terminal Lake. more
