About Alistair Young

I’ve been climbing mountains for thirty years in the UK, Atlas and Alps, always with a camera, from my trusty old Zenit to a new DSLR which have documented my adventures over the years. Recently, after a three month exhibition with the John Muir Trust Wild Spaces gallery in Pitlochry and a more focussed approach to the craft I set up Gabbro Photography to bring my love of mountain photography and poetry together in film and digital images as well as in The Little Book of Gaiku. I love to wander in wild places such as the Cuillin mountains on the Isle of Skye where I live, always with a camera and notebook.
